Child Safety
Our Child Safety Commitment
WCS is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and empowering environment for all children and young people. Guided by the Child Safe Standards, we place children’s safety and wellbeing at the centre of our work.
We believe children and take all concerns, disclosures, and signs of harm seriously. We empower children by supporting them to understand their rights, speak up, and participate in decisions that affect them. We actively listen to and amplify children’s voices, ensuring their views shape our programs, services, and environments.
WCS upholds strong child-safe practices, including cultural safety, inclusive environments, clear reporting processes, and ongoing training for staff and volunteers. We partner with families and communities to continuously strengthen our child-safe culture.
Every child who engages with WCS has the right to feel safe, valued, and heard—and we are committed to ensuring this every day.
